Catherine Coughlin utilizes her extensive in-house museum communications experience to convey brands to the media and wider public in meaningful and lasting ways.
Catherine joined Resnicow and Associates in 2018 and has worked on communications campaigns for L’ECOLE School of Jewelry Arts sponsored by Van Cleef and Arpels, Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Souls Grown Deep, the High Museum of Art, the Baltimore Museum of Art, Safdie Architects, the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, and El Museo del Barrio.
Catherine previously worked in the communications department at the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, NJ, for seven years, where she led media relations and digital strategy and helped oversee key marketing initiatives, including institutional rebranding and development of innovative community programming such as Free First Thursday Nights and the MAM Art Truck. She previously held internships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Grey Art Gallery, Villa La Pietra (Florence, Italy), International Center of Photography, and Christie’s.
Catherine also sits on the board of the New Jersey Association of Museums. She previously chaired the membership committee and has served as Vice President.
Catherine graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in art history from New York University. She also holds a professional certificate in arts administration from NYU and a master’s in business administration from Rutgers University.
